Alleviating Hunger and Nourishing Lives

Poverty is linked with the rising levels of hunger for many Nigerians & citizens of other developing countries. World hunger is on the rise, affecting nearly 10% of the people globally. GIPELP Food Aid Program is set to solve the problems of hunger to a great extent in the lives of very poor and destitute persons. We address the immediate needs of individuals and families facing food insecurity and we priortize those facing financial hardships, homelessness, or other challenging circumstances. By providing essential food supplies, we aim to
ensure that no one goes to bed hungry. The Program aims at

• Reducing street begging
• Making academic pursuits for orphans easy by not allowing hunger distract them from their studies.
• Alleviate the pains and struggles of widows by ensuring they and their children are fed, and as a result utilize their little resources on profit yielding endeavours.
• Tacking the pressure and pains of unemployment on job seekers.

GIPELP in collaboration with Givanas Nig. Ltd, donates cartons of food items to orphans and less privilege children.

Our Medical Aid Program is committed to providing essential medical assistance, restoring health, and brining hope to the less privileged children, youths, adults and individuals with disabilities facing medical challenges. We firmly believe that every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn, grow, and dream, regardless of their socio-economic background. Every child is a future of a nation. Without quality education for our children, the future of our nation is in ruins. Therefore, as an organisation passionate about securing a safe future for our children and our nation, we have established an educational intervention project tagged, “Street2School” aimed at returning out-of-school indigent children back to school by registering them, paying their fees and providing them with necessary school and learning materials.

Impact and success stories

So far, many beneficiaries have been impacted by this noble course and we hope to exceed the yearly target of paying school fees and providing school supplies for at least 100,000 children across the country. This, we are certain will not only alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged parents and increase access to education for their children, but will also reduce crime rate to its barest minimum.

Building Homes, Rebuilding Lives

It is estimated that approximately 24.4 million homeless people live in Nigeria. Unfortunately, due to the harsh economic realities of our time, this number is not reducing, but is rather on the increase.

Therefore, as part of our Social Welfare Programs aimed at tackling poverty and particularly housing problems, the organization has established a Housing Aid Program (HAP), designed to solve housing problems faced by destitute families and persons in slums, ghettos, rural communities and refugee/IDP camps worldwide.

However, water scarcity has affected millions around the world, leading to countless health issues, limited and compromised quality of life. Our Water Aid Program is dedicated to addressing the urgent need for clean water in communities facing water scarcity, ensuring that every individual has access to this vital resource for a healthy living.

Our Clothing Aid Program is dedicated to providing a helping hand to the poor and destitute individuals in our community, ensuring that they have access to clean, quality clothing that meets their basic needs. We envision a society where the identity of the poor is not defined by rags but with decent clothing that builds good self-esteem, honour and dignity. 

GIPELP in action in its recently organised clothing aid program for the needy. Seeing the smiles on the faces of our beneficiaries as they received clothes was a testament to the power of community support.

Access to justice is a fundamental human right. However, many do not have access to legal services due to financial constraints.  GIPELP Legal Aid Program aims to protect the right of the downtrodden and help provide access to justice for the voiceless. The core areas of this program include providing access to legal aid services, human rights advocacy, and conflict resolution support.
